Exertis adds Parallels VDI solution to Enterprise portfolio

Exertis has added Parallels, experts in cross-platform solutions, to its Enterprise portfolio in the UK – with a focus on its Parallels Remote Application Server (RAS) VDI solution.

Parallels RAS is an all-in-one remote working solution that enables companies to gain secure access to virtual applications and desktops on any device, anytime, anywhere. It enhances data security by centrally monitoring and restricting access and enables customers to quickly scale their IT infrastructure on-demand with auto-provisioning.

With 100 per cent focus on the channel, and with over 20 years of experience in the industry, Parallels gives organisations the tools to adapt to continuous workplace changes and demands for new applications or desktop types. One licence covers access for on-premise, cloud, and hybrid, and free demonstrations and a 30-day free trial are also available.

Matthew Molloy, Channel Sales Manager UK&I, Parallels said, "through the deployment of our cross-platform solution Parallels Remote Application Server (RAS), users will be able to gain access to any Windows application from any device. Working with a well-respected distributor like Exertis allows us to deliver this solution effectively to the UK market. We are confident that our technology will complement and enhance the strong portfolio of enterprise solutions Exertis currently provide their reseller partners. Their experience and expertise in the UK make them an ideal Parallels partner, capable of channelling our expertise to meet the dynamically changing needs of the market."

Enhanced data-security features of the Parallels RAS solution ensure customers' assets are protected from data leakage and malicious activity with highly granular permission policies, Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) and Federal Information Processing Standards (FIPS) 140-2 encryption, and multifactor and smart card authentication.

Adam Blackwell, General Manager – Software-Defined Storage at Exertis Enterprise added, "We are pleased to be launching our flagship VDI offering in our Enterprise portfolio. With the ongoing focus on remote working for many, a safe and secure remote working solution has never been more important. Additionally, with so many companies still without virtualised environments, this is the perfect time to offer such flexible business readiness solutions to our customers.

"Parallels delivers IT agility whilst reducing complexity and costs, and customers can easily scale up and down – only paying for what they use. We have complementary vendors in our Enterprise portfolio to create a compelling offering and are excited to now offer these benefits over legacy-based VDI solutions to our customers."
