Last month, Spicers officially unveiled Spicers Alliance and although still in its early days, Spicers dealer Eurostat last week celebrated successfully securing a new account worth £250,000.
Nationwide office supplies company, Eurostat, was founded in 1991 by Stefan Mercado and has become a large independent supplier of office products in the UK. Eurostat has attributed the new deal to being on-board with the Alliance programme and the additional support of SPOT Group’s experts that comes with this.
Alan Candlish, Eurostat Sales Director said, “I have been incredibly impressed with how the Spicers team took over the implementation of the new account. Winning an account with 60 branches nationwide for everyday stationery items, as well as their print orders and marketing products, is a salesman’s dream.”
“If we had attempted this venture by ourselves, there is no doubt in my mind we would have won and then lost this account within 4 weeks as there were so many processes that were alien to us. However, the ease and efficiency that SPOT group worked with us and with our client was fantastic.”
Jeff Whiteway, SPOT Group CEO added, “it has been fantastic working with Eurostat during this process and showing them exactly what they can achieve through being part of the Alliance. The programme is developed to enable dealers to take cost out of their business and enable them to reinvest these savings into driving new business opportunities. With Spicers assisting with the implementation of the logistics of acquiring the new account, this allowed Eurostat to concentrate on building the relationship with their new customer. This new business win for Eurostat is proof that the Alliance programme works.”
