Set to become carbon neutral in regard to its consumption of electricity, DURABLE is enjoying the benefits of the recent installation of over 100 solar panels at its Headquarters in Dorset.
Manufactured and installed by EmPower Energy, the solar powers are helping DURABLE save energy, reduce electricity bills and cut its carbon footprint. Since the installation took place, DURABLE has generated on average 46 Kwh per day through the January and February winter period. Where possible, this power generation has been utilised in-house to operate appliances left on for long periods of time.
Sean Starkey, Managing Director of DURABLE UK said, "environmental care is an integral part of DURABLE's corporate ethos with many DURABLE products made from eco-friendly, recycled and biodegradable components. We are constantly thinking of ways we can protect the environment across the business. We are delighted with the installation and are happy to have incorporated renewable technology into our energy supply, allowing us to reduce our corporate footprint and save energy."
As an added part of its social responsibility, all DURABLE products are produced from premium raw materials through efficient manufacturing processes to ensure high-quality and durability. As well as being biodegradable, all finished products contain over 30 percent recycled material and can be recycled at the end of its product-cycle. Any material waste that is produced during manufacturing is re-circulated into the production process.
