• DSales launches simple Develop MFPs

        • DSales (UK) Ltd, the UK distributor for Develop range of multifunctional document imaging systems, has launched the Develop ineo 227 and ineo 287, A3 black-and-white multifunctional devices, with output speeds of 22 and 28 prints per minute respectively.

It says these versatile multifunctionals are designed for workgroups that require black-and-white only output, but with a high level of functionality. Operation via the tiltable 7-inch colour screen on the ineo devices is as simple to use as a smartphone or tablet, with an intuitive structure and functions such as flick, drag&drop and pinch in&out.

With the huge increase in mobile working functionality includes the ability to print and scan direct from mobile devices. The new multifunctionals support mobile and cloud printing via AirPrint (iOS), Mopria (Android 4.4 or higher), Google Cloud Print (optional), WiFi direct (optional) and NFC (Near Field Communication). This allows documents, photos, web pages or PDFs to be printed straight from an OS or Android smartphone or tablet via a WLAN network.

Secure access to the system is ensured through various means of authentication: passwords, finger-vein scanning, contactless smart cards or embedded NFC authentication. The ineo 227 and ineo 287 NFC capability means a mobile device can even be used instead of an authentication card to gain secure access.

Both multifunctionals feature a customisable operating panel, which is particularly useful in multiple user environments where they serve as workgroup, team or departmental printers. Since users can select the features and functions they most frequently use and customise the panel accordingly, printing, copying or scanning jobs can be completed much faster than with a non-customised user interface.

In addition, the entire panel can be tailored to individual requirements by means of a corporate message, company logo or supportive information for the user. Various apps can also be downloaded via the operating panel to provide an added degree of customisation.

To cut energy costs and reduce carbon footprint, the new ineo multifunctionals benefit from energy-saving functions including energy-efficient LED scanner lighting; wake-up-for-scan-only technology that avoids heating the engine when it is not needed; and a dynamic eco-timer that analyses device usage and adapts settings accordingly.

Productivity of both the ineo 227 and ineo 287 can be enhanced with Develop's exclusive range of software solutions to automate time-consuming manual operations. Solutions include convert+share allowing documents to be scanned in various file formats and then sent straight to the required destination (for example MS Word docx documents can be scanned and sent directly from the the ineo 227 and ineo 287 to Windows applications such as email, Google Docs, Evernote or sent to Microsoft SharePoint).

Jonathan Whitworth, Managing Director of DSales (UK) says: "The massive growth in mobile working is being stimulated by the ‘bring your own device' phenomenon where workers want to use their mobile device for business. These new ineo multifunctionals meet that need by providing fast, efficient integration with the smart phones and tablets that users increasingly use for business."
