DSales (UK) Ltd, the UK distributor for the Develop range of multifunctional document imaging systems, has announced that the take up of ineo SECURE UK by its dealer partners has been higher than anticipated, thanks to the impending GDPR.
DSales (UK) now has over twenty authorised dealer partners offering ineo SECURE UK, Develop's new security service.
The authorised Develop dealer partners have trained service technicians who can configure the security features of Develop devices, either prior to onsite installation or at the users' premises. Customised to the individual user's requirements, ineo SECURE UK provides peace of mind that the information on their Develop ineo MFP is secure.
The security features offered by ineo SECURE UK includes HDD lock to prevent unauthorised access; an HDD encryption key so data can be stored in a password-protected partition on the hard drive of the MFP; enabling the HDD to overwrite temporary data ensuring data is immediately deleted and overwritten as soon as the job is completed; and configuring the HDD to automatically delete a job in specified user-boxes, system boxes and folders.
Following completion of the process, an ineo SECURE UK uniquely numbered label is placed on front of the MFP, providing visual evidence of the customised security package so that all users can be confident that any sensitive data passing through the device will stay confidential.
Glenn Kershaw, Marketing Manager for DSales (UK) said, "the take up of ineo SECURE UK by our dealer partners has been higher than anticipated. This is being stimulated by the need for compliance with the new General Data Protection Regulations by May 2018, which has focused attention on the need for data security, including print as part of the IT infrastructure. ineo SECURE UK ensures that our customers can be assured their data security will not be compromised by their Develop ineo multifunctional print device."
