• Details confirmed for Northern ‘War of the Roses’ Power Racing event

        • Details for Power Racing Round Two, the ‘War of the Roses’ Northern Edition, have been announced and dealers are invited to request a place by 1st May.

          The second dealer racing and networking event, supported by Office Power, will take place in Colne on 18th May with two go karting teams going head to head to defend the honours of the white rose of Yorkshire and red rose of Lancashire. Leading the Yorkshire team onto the grid is Mark Exley from WT Supplies. Hoping to keep him off the podium is the team led by David McFarlane of Blackpool’s Discount Office Supplies.

          Simon Drakeford, CEO, Office Power said, “our first Power Racing was a fantastic success and gave local office supplies dealers a unique opportunity to network while having fun at the same time. The War of Roses is the perfect opportunity for dealers in the north of England to learn from each other and to leave with new connections and industry insight to help them build a more prosperous future.”

          The event is designed so that local office supplies dealers can meet and network with other like-minded dealers, discuss the future of the office supplies industry, exchange ideas and plans of what they do in their businesses to ensure a prosperous future, whilst having fun at the same time.

          28 dealers attended the first southern Power Racing two-day event with Tim Crabtree’s team celebrating victory.

          One of the dealers on the day said, “the racing was superb fun and the meal was excellent and what a lovely group of people to socialise with. It was certainly a good way to meet new people from the industry and have interesting conversations about the industry outlook in the years to come.”

          The agenda for War of the Roses is: 

          • 1PM – Power Racing at Prestige Karting, Colne: full briefing, practice, racing and trophies.
          • 7PM – Dinner at The Box Tree, Ilkley’s exclusive Michelin star restaurant.
          • 9PM onwards – After party and optional overnight stay in Ilkley.

          Places on each team are limited and the southern event was booked up well ahead of time. Any dealers wishing to claim a place on the northern event should email Alina Fisher by 1st May at alina.fisher@officepower.net.
