Two South-East based business service suppliers have joined forces through the merger of the Cowans Group and B.O.S. Sales (office equipment) Ltd. The unified business will now operate from Cowans headquarters in Waltham Abbey, Essex.
B.O.S, formerly based in Hoddesdon, Hertfordshire, specialises in printers, office furniture, packaging and large format printer supplies. The company also offers products such as IT consumables, catering and cleaning supplies, premise management solutions, and health and safety items.
Cowans Group provides a total solution for education, facilities management, interiors, managed services, offices, print and workwear. The group is a member of Integra Business Solutions Ltd, whose ‘i-merge’ solution played a pivotal role in bringing the two businesses together.
Dana Whitehouse, Former B.O.S. Managing Director and now Operations Director of the merged organisation said, “we have largely complementary product ranges. Our specialisms include lines which Cowans didn’t presently offer and my team has a wealth of related knowledge and supplier contacts.
“The most important reason for the merger, however, is that the two organisations are like-minded and along with Kevin Foot, Cowans Managing Director, share a common approach to business. Indeed, our business relationship started over 30 years ago when B.O.S were a Hanmar customer.”
