Ricoh integration complete
Ricoh UK has announced that the integration of both the Infotec and IKON businesses and brands into the parent company has officially been completed. It begun in January 2007 with the acquisition of production print company Infotec, formerly known as Danka Europe. In September 2008 it acquired Ikon, the world's largest independent channel for document management systems and services.
Ricoh UK CEO David Mills says: “The completion of this integration means that customers now benefit from the combined expertise of the three companies and a holistic approach to document strategy that offers greater rewards including an enhanced product portfolio and streamlined sales and service processes.
"Harmonising the back office functions of the three organisations has freed up valuable time allowing us greater flexibility to be more responsive to the frontline needs and requirements of our customers as we work with them to help drive competitive edge.”
The company says by integrating former resellers into its organisations it is eliminating any duplication of operational, administrative or sales functions which will ultimately lead to a more competitive proposition for its customers.
Ricoh employs almost 4,000 people in the UK and the newly integrated UK organisation will continue to have its headquarters in Feltham, Middlesex.
