Canon adds printing range to partners’ small workgroup offering

PRODUCT NEWS:

Canon has announced the latest devices to join its portfolio of document solutions. The i-SENSYS MF730 and i-SENSYS MF630 series MFPs and i-SENSYS LBP650 and i-SENSYS LBP610 series laser printers are designed to develop partners' proposition to smaller businesses and workgroups while addressing their total cost to serve.

The new devices add the latest technology to partners' suite of solutions, while enabling them to draw on existing sales knowledge to provide consistent levels of consultancy to their customers.

The new ranges also leverage Canon's security credentials, opening up new revenue streams for partners. The addition of Canon's Secure Print functionality to partner portfolios enables them to provision PIN-protected printing from PCs, smartphones and tablets and helps minimise the cost and reputational damage that can arise from unauthorised data access.

Anil Jagpal, European Marketing Manager at Canon Europe said, "for Canon partners, the latest i-SENSYS devices present a way of building new revenue streams for partners that utilises their existing knowledge. From the point of sale, the devices are designed to tackle both the efficiency and productivity issues experienced by customers while significantly reducing the ongoing costs associated with maintenance and management for partners. This combination represents maximum value to both our partners and their customers."

The i-SENSYS devices feature new engine technology that makes it possible to print at up to 27 pages per minute and carry out single pass, double-sided scanning in seconds. Combined with improved colour technology, capable of delivering professional-quality prints time and time again, partners are able to meet a wider range of requirements for more businesses.

The i-SENSYS devices enable guest printing by leveraging a direct wireless connection without having to compromise on network security. Helping partners to enhance their customers' daily workflows, the MF Scan Utility's enhanced functionality also allows businesses to scan and create searchable PDF documents, attach scanned files to an e-mail and send scanned documents directly to cloud services.

Enhanced functionality such as the intuitive 5-inch colour touch screen and customisable Application Library featured on selected models, help partners move into the lucrative and growing home and small office space, while the newly designed all-in-one cartridges deliver on quality while further reducing the ongoing maintenance and time and cost associated with consumables management.

The i-SENSYS MF730, i-SENSYS MF630, i-SENSYS LBP650 and i-SENSYS LBP610 series will be available across Europe from June.
