• Brother extends mobile print offering with Rugged-Jet launch

        • PRODUCT NEWS: Brother UK has launched a new range of mobile printers for retail, manufacturing, transport and healthcare, which will help channel partners tap into the mobile print market.

          The new mobile print range, targeting markets which require efficient portable printing in a variety of working environments, consists of four models, the RJ-2030, RJ-2050, RJ-2140 and RJ-2150, two for receipts and two for receipt and label printing.

          The RJ-2000 series is designed to increase operational efficiency, offering fast, reliable printing from any location. It also comes equipped with multiple carrying solutions, as well as power options for use in vehicles. The mobile are designed to take two inch roll types and can integrate with industry-leading software within the key target markets. Workers can also print directly from mobile devices on Windows, Android or iOS platforms via an array of connectivity options, including Bluetooth and WiFi.

          All printers in the range use direct thermal printing technology, ensuring reliability and with minimal moving parts and no ink, toner or ribbon to replace, Brother is boasting lower maintenance costs.

          Salim Hasan, Technical Product Manager at Brother UK said, “mobile print is thriving, so channel partners should focus on meeting the needs of end-users who are increasingly on the move. The worldwide market for two inch mobile printers is also growing by 9% year-on-year, so this Rugged-Jet range will help our channel partners to capitalise on a key growth area.”
