• Brother devices win four BLI Pick Awards

        • Brother has won four BLI Winter 2019 Pick Awards after products from its colour laser, business inkjet and compact document scanning categories were singled out by independent Keypoint Intelligence - Buyers Lab testers.

With a mission to identify the most exceptional devices, experienced analysts from Buyers Lab put products through two months of rigorous assessment.

Devices from Brother’s L3000 colour laser series, professional A3 inkjet range and the ADS-1700W compact document scanner excelled and won category awards.

“Big Value for Low-Volume Users” – four Brother colour printing devices won Outstanding Awards in the Small and Home Office category. Two devices in Brother’s colour printer series, the HL-L3230CDW and the HL-L3270CDW scooped the BLI award for Outstanding Colour Printers for Small and Home Offices. Additionally, two Brother multifunction laser devices, the MFC-L3770CDW and MFC-L3750CDW, gained BLI’s acclaim as Outstanding Colour MFP for Small and Home Offices.

Marlene Orr, Keypoint Intelligence’s Director of Printer & MFP Analysis said, “despite their low cost and compact design, the Brother colour printers and MFPs we tested are loaded with productivity-enhancing features, like Brother Web Connect, which lets users print from and scan to an impressive array of popular cloud services.

“The affordably priced Brother HL-L3200 series and the sister MFC-L3700 MFP series provide outstanding business colour, perfect reliability, and ease of use for small and home office users.”

          All-in-One A3 business inkjet

Two professional A3 inkjet multi-function devices scooped the BLI certificate of reliability and were named Outstanding A3 Inkjet All-in-One devices.

The Brother MFC-J6945DW and MFC-J6947DW models, which are designed for reliability, also impressed the independent testers with their print and scan speeds.

BLI noted in its report, “the Brother MFC-J6945DW proved to be a strong budget-friendly choice for small workgroups. Given its flawless durability performance, user-friendliness, and impressive speeds in every model tested the device promises to keep workgroups productive.

“The unit is certified highly reliable by Buyers Lab, as it's based on a print engine that completed a 30,000-impression durability test with no misfeeds recorded and no service required.”

A further three models from the professional A3 inkjet series, the MFC-J5945DW, HL-J6000DW and HL-J6100DW, were also independently tested and rated ‘Excellent’ for reliability. They were all further highly-rated for their print speeds and the MFC-J5945DW was also praised for its scan speeds.

          Compact document scanning

The compact and wireless ADS-1700W scanner was named Outstanding Portable Scanner after receiving excellent reviews for its portability, efficiency, software compatibility, colour touch screen and wireless connection.

Lee Davis, Keypoint Intelligence’s Editor of Scanner/Software Evaluation added, “the Brother ADS-1700W packs a lot of features into a portable design. You don’t typically find a colour touchscreen, wireless connectivity, and seamless integration with many of today’s business software on a device this compact and portable, especially at a price this low.”
