• Blake opens second hub of excellence in Leeds

        • Blake has announced the opening of its second ‘Hub of Excellence’ in Leeds. This follows the opening of the first hub in Edinburgh in October last year.

The new hub is managed and run by Richard Pennie who joined Blake with over 20 year’s experience in the envelope and postal packaging industry. The company is hoping that the hubs will help in its move to diversify into postal packaging solutions.

Managing Director, Michael Barter said, “the prime reason for creating the Hubs of Excellence was to immerse Blake into some of the most strategic locations across the UK; making it far easier for the business to develop relationships with those in the know with regards to the print, envelopes and the postal packaging sector. We have secured a location that couldn’t be closer to the action, right in the centre of Leeds with a LS1 postcode.

“Although envelopes are still a large part of our business the securing of top talent like Richard helps in our move to diversify into postal packaging solutions an area that is very much in growth and is likely to be for many years to come.”

Richard Pennie added, “Blake are shaping their business for growth and sustainability and the new office in Leeds is testament to this. 2017 has already started well and I am truly excited to be part of the wider Blake team, who are incredibly enthusiastic and also deeply caring towards clients of all sizes.”
