• Blake launches environmental month for recycled products

        • Paper, envelope and postal packaging suppliers, Blake, have launched their environmental month highlighting the importance of recycled envelopes.

As part of an industry that makes heavy use of a natural resource like wood Blake thought it important to discuss why recycled products are good to use. They will be contacting customers through social media and via direct mail to educate them about the benefits of replacing virgin paper products with recycled.

According to Blake, a typical office worker uses up to 45 sheets of paper per day, of which over half is considered waste.  77% of wasted paper in offices is high grade and recyclable so purchasing recycled products has a direct impact on the environment. Recycled products help save energy, conserve water, prevent environmental pollution and save landfill sites.

Blake have a range of over 55 types of recycled products which are all 100% recycled and have FSC Certification. Their Premium Pure paper and envelopes are manufactured using bioenergy, without chlorine bleaching with the high whiteness (CIE 160) achieved through a converting process of the recycled fibre.

Blake also supply environmentally friendly padded envelopes, the Blake Purely Packaging EcoCushion, with an expandable gusset and all of their products, recycled or not, also comply with the EU Timber Regulation (2013).
