• Barco launches first high-brightness laser phosphor projector

        • Targeting large venues and events, Barco is expanding its HDF projector portfolio with the HDF-W30LP FLEX projector, featuring a high-brightness laser phosphor light source.

Benefits of the new projector include being able to upgrade existing customers of the Barco HDF-W30 FLEX, 50 percent cost savings compared to lamp-based projectors, and more flexible projector location with up to 30,000-lumens.

Carl Rijsbrack, VP Events at Barco said, “today, customers are confronted with a myriad of technology choices. We have been expanding our projector portfolio with high brightness and laser phosphor technology so that customers can make the right choice and add the latest technology to their inventory in a worry-free way. Thanks to its high brightness and laser phosphor light source, the HDF-W30LP FLEX projector enables rental companies and venues to provide stunning experiences while saving both time and money.”

Barco is also unveiling a laser phosphor retrofit module to enable rental customers and venue owners to retrofit their existing Barco HDF-W30 FLEX projector by replacing the lamp house with a laser phosphor module.

With shipping beginning in the Summer, professionals in venue and event industries looking for reliable performance, especially in terms of brightness and color will be able to place their orders now with previews available at the Prolight + Sound trade show, Messe Frankfurt, Germany, from 5 – 8 April.
