Advantia in partnership with Evolution
Advantia Business Solutions, one of the UK's most forward thinking dealer groups and European Dealer Group of the Year 2014, has announced together with Truline they have entered into a partnership with Evolution Software for their FusionPLUS Data Enhancement Service.
Advantia says it has always understood that it is accurate, reliable data that is at the heart of a profitable office products dealership and to that end has always strived to provide the best possible data to their members. With the massive increase in on-line sales and to enable their members to respond to the threat from on-line resellers, over 18 months ago Advantia and Truline began a data enhancement project to vastly improve their data specifically for on-line selling.
The agreement with Evolution Software for their FusionPLUS service will enable Advantia and Truline to receive data provided direct from manufacturers that has been maintained, cleansed and normalised without manual intervention by them. The data provided to Advantia and Truline is independent of national wholesalers.
The next part of the data enhancement project, which has been underway for over a year, is to compile data that will provide enriched content for members' webstores.
Advantia and Truline believe this is very good news for manufacturers because more of their marketing will be accessible to consumers from members' e-commerce websites. For example the enhanced content will enable consumers to access multiple product images, videos, manuals, COSHH data sheets, guarantees, logos and environmental information. Consumers will also have the ability to view product comparisons, so no more flicking between screens for consumers to choose the best shredder or data projector.
The data from FusionPLUS, which Advantia estimates has saved them two years of data development and cross references with data from the national wholesalers, will put Advantia members at the 'cutting edge of on-line selling'. The FusionPLUS data will be available to all Advantia members and for manufacturers with marketing information, Advantia now has the ability to get this to their members' sales teams and consumers can access it at the point of purchase on-line.
Advantia's Purchasing & IT Director, Steve Keen said: "Advantia and Truline will be managing the data from FusionPLUS and we will continue to do what we have always done, which is to continually review and improve the marketing information supplied by manufacturers making it more consumer friendly and now for on-line selling we are adding link-sells and alternative product choices so our members' webstores can have similar functionality and the data that other on-line resellers have. Some of our members are already benefiting from this enhanced content data on their e-commerce sites."
