ACCO Brands has expanded its innovative health and wellbeing range with brand new products, the Rexel ActiVita Air Cleaner and the Rexel ActiVita Noise Reducing Panels. By improving the working environment, ACCO believes comfort and employee wellbeing can be greatly increased, ultimately boosting productivity for businesses.
The Air Cleaner produces negative ions which, when combined with its filter, help to keep the air clean and fresh. The portable, personal device removes dust, germs and allergens, and the negative ions boost energy levels. In a study conducted by Surrey University, employees exposed to high levels of negative ions showed a 28 per cent increase in overall task performance.
The wall mounted or free standing Noise Reducing Panels look to combat the distraction and resulting lost productivity caused by background noise in open plan offices. Research from the British Journal of Psychology shows that noise in the workplace causes a decrease in efficiency levels by up to 66 per cent. By absorbing sound waves, the panels provide a solution for busy environments.
Chris Gaskell, Senior Director of Channel and Brand Marketing, ACCO Brands Europe said, “we know that today’s office workers are using new technologies, which bring new environmental challenges. A well-designed workspace should benefit from clean air, good lighting, and be free from distractions, such as constant background noise.
“Our innovative health and wellbeing products will not only help employers and users to achieve maximum comfort within their workplace, they will also help businesses increase efficiency and productivity. Understanding the benefits of a healthier approach to work enables ACCO Brands to offer a comprehensive office solution with our range of health and wellbeing products.”
According to ACCO, wellbeing and productivity solutions are playing an increasingly important role in today’s workplace environment and will become integral in the workplace of the future. It is one of the few areas in which a company can invest to yield a massive return, with every £1 spent on workplace wellbeing yielding between an estimated £3 and £6 in gained productivity and efficiency.
